Chinchilla

This breed originated in France and was first introduced after World War I. The coat color is distinctive: the under-color of the fur should be slate blue at the base, the middle portion pearl grey, merging into white and tipped with black—much like the Chinchilla, the fur-producing rodent after which this breed is named.
The Standard Chinchilla rabbit is a compact breed.
